A clean, refreshing top note, Lemon essential oil is cooling, bright, sharp and zesty.

Properties

Antibacterial, astringent and aids in the recovery from common colds and supports digestion. Lemon essential oil reduces infection, congestion, and can be added to dermal preparations to sooth muscles and joints, especially when blended with skin nourishing oils such as Lavender, Geranium, and Palmarosa. Alleviates sluggishness, dampness and uplifts, especially for those who worry or lack focus.

How to Use

Blends well with other citrus, Frankincense, Sandalwood, Neroli, Eucalyptus, Clove, Geranium, Cinnamon, Cyprus and other floral or woody scents as it is versatile.

Diffuse, inhale directly from the palms or aromatherapy jewellery, or use in house cleaners especially when combined with Lime, peppermint, or Lavender. A basic ingredient at the aromatherapy table, in candle making, cleaning products, and for internal aliments.

Safety

Lemon is photo-toxic when cold pressed (although it has the best aroma) in more than 12 drops in 30mls of carrier oil. If steam distilled, it is not photo-toxic
